With categories like “Most Coveted Closet” to “Made to Shade” and even “Hot-Tea of the Year,” there is a lot of work for you to do to help us make our first-ever awards show as iconic as ever! Speaking of icons…
Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton have been giving us reality TV gold for years as OGs of “The Real Housewives of Miami.”
Nepola and Patton, both 58, first appeared on the show in 2011, and remained involved until the series was put on pause in 2013. Thankfully, they returned to our screens when “Miami” was rebooted in 2021 — first on Peacock and now fully back home on Bravo!
Throughout it all, they have been an unstoppable pair that brings the friendship, fun and Florida heat, which is why we thought that they would be the perfect ladies to receive the Golden Kettle Award, presented by Tri- State Cadillac!
Think of this honor as our version of a lifetime achievement award, and whenever we’ve talked to either of these ladies — the tea they spill is most definitely Golden Kettle-worthy!
The Golden Kettle Award will be given to the self-proclaimed “Cuban Barbie” — Nepola — and Queen of Cockies — Patton — at the VRT Awards, taking place at City Winery in New York City on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m.
Additional honorees at the first VRT Awards include Candiace Dillard Basset from “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” who will be receiving the Magic Mic Award for her iconic music career that she launched in tandem with her time on reality television.
And attendees are in luck, because the “Drive Back” songstress will also be performing some of her hits on stage!
Melissa Gorga from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will also be honored with the That’s Mother! Award, celebrating how she embodies being “mother” in every sense of the word.
Stay tuned for more details about the show — with even more surprise guests expected to be announced soon. Yes, this will be a night you will always remember, so what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now!
