Rhea Seehorn’s moment has finally arrived, and it’s about damn time!

The first-time Golden Globes nominee was nominated alongisde MobLand’s Helen Mirren, The Last of Us’ Bella Ramsey, Matlock’s Kathy Bates, The Diplomat’s Keri Russell, and fellow Apple TV nominee Severance’s Britt Lower. The competition was fierce, but as Decider noted in our Pluribus review, a relentlessly watchable Seehorn shines, repeatedly proving she can carry a one-woman show.

Earlier this year, Seehorn also took home the 2026 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series, breaking her streak of agonizing snubs for past work, crucially, her acclaimed role as Kim Wexler on Better Call Saul.

After Dakota Fanning and Queen Latifah announced her Golden Globe win, Seehorn made an emotional, earnest, occasionally humorous speech to stress how grateful she was for the recognition, her role in the hit Vince Gilligan series, and her job as an actor.

“Oh my gosh, Queen Latifah, I met you about 20 years ago between jobs at a Koo Koo Roo and you were so nice. So thanks,” Seehorn said, kicking things off with a chuckle. “Sorry. My speech says, ‘Get a prescription for beta blockers, but I did not! Sorry.’ I’m sorry, I’m a little shocked. I think my stomach is still over there getting your name read with Bella Ramsey, and Britt Lower, and Helen Mirren, and Kathy Bates, and Carrie Russell. I’m astonished by all your performances. I appreciate being listed with you, and actually, to all of the women in this room: I’ve been to a lot of these parties that get pretty scary for someone like me sometimes, and the women in this room have been incredible in the last couple of weeks. Thank you for that.”

“Speaking of pinch-me moments, Vince Gilligan I still can’t find you. Are you in here?” Seehorn said, scanning the room for the Better Call Saul and Pluribus creator. “HEY! Vince Gilligan, thank you for writing me the role of a lifetime. And even more than that, thank you for having belief in me that is beyond. You make me want to be better every day. I really appreciate it.”

Seehorn went on to thank all of her directors, writers, producers, my “beautiful cast,” shouting out Karolina Wydra, Samba Schutte, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, Miriam Shor, Jeff Hiller and Season 1’s guest stars, all the show’s “incredible background artists.”

“My tireless crew, thank you. They had my back every single night when the sun was coming up. Thank you so much for that. Thank you to Apple TV. Thank you to Sony. It takes an entire village. So thank you to my beautiful village,” Seehorn continued. After thanking her family, sons, husband, and the Golden Globes voting body, the Pluribus star said, “I’m still so grateful that I get to do this for a living, and this is incredible icing on that cake.”

Pluribus was also nominated for Best Television Series – Drama at the Golden Globes alongside The White Lotus, The Diplomat, The Pitt, Slow Horses, and Severance.
