‘Revival’ Exclusive Clip: Dr. Ibrahim Ramin Presses Em Cypress For Answers As Dana Cypress Lies In A Coma

Talk about a cliffhanger! Last week’s episode of SyFy’s buzzy series Revival ended with a bang. Well, two bangs. Reviver Em Cypress (Romy Weltman) met up with former lover Professor Aaron Weimer (Gianpaolo Venuta) in the woods to accuse him of murdering her, only for him to be shot and killed by a mysterious stranger. After receiving a strange text, police officer Dana Cypress (Melanie Scrofano) showed up to save Em—while her date Dr. Ibrahim Ramin (Andy McQueen) waited in the car—only to be shot as well. Needless to say, fans have been waiting in agony to learn their fates. Never fear! Decider is here with answers!

In this exclusive clip from this week’s episode, we see Em and Ibrahim at a comatose Dana’s bedside in the hospital. “This is a lot,” says Ibrahim as Em stands watch over her sister. Hearing his voice, Em turns around, immediately panicked by what he might have said to authorities because he’s discovered she’s an unregistered reviver. “What did you say in there?” asks Em nervously. “Just what I saw, except for you,” says Ibrahim. Em breathes a sigh of relief.

“I know Dana would do anything for you, but I don’t know you,” continues Ibrahim. “And a lot of this isn’t making sense, so I just need you to just tell me what happened out there.” Em struggles to remember the terrible events of last night. “I don’t know,” says Em. “Was it you that texted her? How did you all end up in the woods together?” presses Ibrahim. “I was confronting Aaron and Dana just showed up,” says Em. “Then who shot her?” asks Ibrahim. “Was it this Aaron guy?”

“The truth is Aaron and I have a bit of history,” begins Em. “When I got there, he was already scared of something or someone and told me to leave. But before I could, his body just jerked forward and he fell into me and he was dead. Just like that.” Em bursts into tears as Ibrahim reels from the information he just received. “Someone shot him, and then Dana showed up. And before I could warn her, someone shot her too.”

“I took her gun, and I shot back, and I hit him,” remembers Em. “But it wasn’t enough, and he got away.” Em looks up to see a shocked Ibrahim staring back at her. “I am so sorry that you’ve been brought into all of this and have to lie for me.” Ibrahim quickly correct hers. “I’m not lying for you; I’m lying for Dana.”

“But I am a really bad liar,” continues Ibrahim. “I suck at it. I don’t know whether if the police keep going and they keep asking questions, I might crack.” Em looks at him in horror. “I’m sorry, I’m just not good at any of this,” says Ibrahim sadly. Determined, Em stands strong. “I will figure this out, trust me,” says Em. “I’m a Cypress.”
