Funny You Should Ask is a 2022 novel from romance writer Elissa Sussman that follows a restless young journalist who interviews a Hollywood heartthrob – only to reunite with him ten years later to discover how he really feels about her.
In the book, the heartthrob in question is next in line to play James Bond, a role which many fans have wished to see Page play.
The project is still in early development with Rachel Alter – who has written on Outer Banks, The Society, and Heels – attached to adapt the book to screen.
Funny You Should Ask will mark Page’s first time returning to television and the romance genre since he became a breakout star in Bridgerton Season 1 playing the dashing Duke of Hastings.
Page has made it clear that he has no plans of returning to the hit Netflix series – no matter how much fans may want him back. But he has enjoyed a busy career in film with roles in Black Bag, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, The Gray Man, and more.
Page certainly has the star power to fuel this buzzy new adaptation for Apple TV+.
This will mark the latest bestseller the streamer has adapted into a limited series since Lessons in Chemistry.
