“After a heart catheterization procedure, it was determined he’d suffered a mild heart attack,” the statement read.
While his “initial surgery was successful,” Stevens’ team still canceled his CabaRay Showroom performances through the end of the month to give him time to recover.

The “Everything Is Beautiful” singer’s camp issued an update Wednesday evening, saying that he was “out of [the] ICU.”
In fact, they shared that Stevens was even “beginning to walk the halls as therapy with a nurse’s assistance as he is working towards recovering from this surgery.”
The statement concluded, “Ray is very grateful for all of the cards and get well messages. Everything is Still Beautiful!!!! ❤️.”
The Country Music Hall of Famer lost his wife of more than 60 years, Penny Jackson Ragsdale, on New Year’s Eve 2021 “following a prolonged battle with cancer,” his social media accounts announced at the time.
Ragsdale, who passed away at the couple’s Nashville home, was 78.
She and Stevens welcomed two daughters throughout their marriage: Timi and Suzi.
They also shared multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
