The charges included possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, reckless driving, possession of a Schedule V controlled substance and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, per the outlet.
Although he remained behind bars as of Saturday afternoon, the rapper’s attorney, Drew Findling, told TMZ that Rod Wave had already appeared in court and was granted an $8,000 bail.

This wouldn’t be the first time the “Heart on Ice” rapper has had a run-in with the law in recent years.
Back in September 2021, Rod Wave was arrested by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on a single battery charge.
The soul-trap pioneer was later arrested on an outstanding strangulation charge in Florida in 2022.
Then, in May of this year, he was arrested again on 14 charges, including aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit a felony, criminal damage to property, pointing or aiming a gun or pistol at another person, simple assault and more.
Rod Wave’s legal team denied that he committed any wrongdoing regarding the May 2025 incident and argued that the rapper was actually the victim in the case.
“There is no truth to these charges,” lawyers Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg told the Associated Press in a statement at the time.
“Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes,” they added. “How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible. This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green.”
One month later, the “Street Runner” hip-hop artist was booked once more by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on yet another single charge of battery.
Meanwhile, Rod Wave scored his first Grammy nomination on the same day that he was taken into custody by the Atlanta Police Department on four charges Friday.
He was nominated in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category for “Sinners,” the title track from the vampire film of the same name starring Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton and Omar Benson Miller.
Two additional songs from the film’s soundtrack were nominated for Grammys as well, including “Pale, Pale Moon” by Brittany Howard and “I Lied to You” by Caton.
