This removes the possibility of other teams signing Rempe to an offer sheet in NHL free agency.
The deal has an average annual value of $975,000, according to The Post’s Mollie Walker.
A fan favorite, Rempe made his Rangers debut during the 2023-24 season, when he appeared in 17 games and recorded one goal.
In his second year, he made 42 regular-season appearances while adding three goals, five assists and eight points.
The 22-year-old also led the Rangers in hits per 60 minutes at 19.64.
He was originally selected 165th overall by the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Draft.
A new Rangers era is underway with first-year coach Mike Sullivan, who succeeded Peter Laviolette in May after two seasons.
Last week, the Blueshirts dealt their longest tenured player, Chris Kreider, to the Anaheim Ducks.
