“She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA,” the president concluded the social media screed.
Not to be outdone, the former talk show host, 63, fired back with a round of her own social media posts. Via Instagram Stories Saturday, O’Donnell shared a meme reading, “Trump threatening Rosie’s citizenship is like a cockroach trying to evict a lighthouse. She’s a fixture. He’s a f–king infestation.”
She added Barbra Streisand’s “Don’t Rain on my Parade” as a soundtrack to the savage comeback. Also via Instagram Stories, she re-shared a collage of photos of Trump with Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and others, with an image of an apparent Trump Truth Social post reading “STOP TALKING ABOUT JEFFREY EPSTEIN!!!!!” in the center.
In a separate Instagram post on Saturday, the actress shared a collage of photos that included Trump’s Truth social post, various pics of herself and snapshots of an open window.
“The president of the usa has always hated the fact that i see him for who he is – a criminal con man sexual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself – this is why i moved to ireland,” she captioned the post, labeling the president as a “dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity.”
O’Donnell wrote that she stands “in direct opposition all [sic] he represents,” noting that “so do millions of others” and asked “u gonna deport all who stand against ur eveil tendencies.”
She concluded the post by calling Trump a “bad joke who cant form a coherent sentence” and added the hashtag #nevertrump.
The “A League of Their Own” actress also posted a photo of Trump with the late Jeffrey Epstein.
“Hey donald –you’re rattled again? 18 years later and I still live rent-free in that collapsing brain of yours,” she wrote in follow-up post. “You call me a threat to humanity – but I’m everything you fear: a loud woman a queer woman a mother who tells the truth an american who got out of the country b4 u set it ablaze.”
O’Donnell slammed Trump’s building of “walls” while asserting that she builds “a life for my autistic kid in a country where decency still exists.”
She added that while she feels he craves “loyaty,” she teaches her children “to question power.”
“You are everything that is wrong with america – and I’m everything you hate about what’s still right with it,” she wrote in part. “You want to revoke my citizenship? go ahead and try, king joffrey with a tangerine spray tan.”
O’Donnell concluded the post by writing that she’s “not [his] to silence i never was,” before signing off with an emoji of Ireland’s flag.
The actress, who frequently takes to the social media platform with sociopolitical views and criticisms, announced in March that she moved to Ireland following Trump’s second election win in November.
“I’m here in Ireland. And it’s beautiful and warm — not physically. It’s actually quite cold,” she told fans in a TikTok video at the time. O’Donnell divulged that she left the US on January 15, just days before Trump took office.
“I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back,” the actress said in part, adding that it’s been “heartbreaking” for her to see “what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well.”
“The personal is political, as we all know,” she said.
Also in March, the mom of five followed up with fans, sharing that she feels more at ease in Ireland. “I feel healthier [and] I’m sleeping better without the stress and anxiety over what was happening politically in the country,” she said via TikTok.
