Powerball jackpot nears $1 billion after another drawing with no winners
The Powerball jackpot soared to a staggering $930 million after Monday night’s highly anticipated drawing produced no lucky winner — leaving the six-biggest prize in the history of the lottery up for grabs.
The winning numbers drawn were 8, 32, 52, 56, 64, and 23 as the Powerball.

The estimated cash value of the new jackpot is $429 million.
Monday’s jackpot was $875 million, which would have been the seventh-largest prize in the game’s history, according to Powerball.

The next drawing is on Wednesday night.
The life-changing fortune has steadily climbed over the past nearly three months, with no one crowned the winner since the big prize was clinched on Sept. 6.
That $1.787 billion prize was split between two winning players, one in Missouri and one in Texas.

If a lucky ticket holder defies the 1-in-292 million odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball, they can choose between the lump sum payment or an annuity option.
Under the second option, the winner would receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, each increasing by 5% per year.
Both prize options are before taxes.
The biggest-ever Powerball jackpot of $2.04 billion was won in California on Nov. 7, 2022.
