‘Ponies’ Season 2: Will Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson’s Sexy Espionage Thriller Return?

After that cliffhanger ending, we’re going to need another season of Ponies.

In just eight episodes, Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson got us to not only fall in love with their adorably hilarious and seriously scorned widow characters, but they also got us to root for them to become badasses, fighting tooth and nail to find out what really happened to their husbands. 

Unfortunately, that fight included some revelations for Twila (Richardson) and Bea (Clarke) about what their CIA husbands were really doing in Moscow and how they ended up dying mysteriously on Christmas Eve. Although it should be noted that the series only showed us Chris (Louis Boyer) and Tom (John MacMillan) going down in the supposed plane crash that killed them and then being shot in an ambush, all of which came from an unreliable source. Are these two widows even widows at all? 

That is just one of the questions that is on our minds after finishing Ponies Season 1 and something we need answers to in Ponies Season 2. Peacock, don’t make us wait forever, we can’t stand it! 

So, when can we expect to see Bea Grant and Twila Hasbeck again? Let’s wander down the road of everything we currently know about Ponies Season 2… 

Has Ponies Been Renewed for a Season 2? 

As of this article’s posting date, Ponies has not been renewed for a second season. Now, it’s been mere hours since Season 1 came out so hold your horses (or should we say ponies?) before you start to freak out. 

Will There Be a Season 2 of Ponies? 

It does seem like the cast and crew are amenable to the idea of returning for a second season. Obviously, much of whether or not that happens depends on how the show does, so if you really loved the show, tell everyone you know that they should start watching as soon as possible. 

How Does Ponies Season 1 End? 

After catching Andrei (Artjom Gilz) and holding him for interrogation, thinking they had finally put an end to this saga, the cards quickly flip as Anton’s men come to find him and trap Bea and Twila. This happens as the building, which was filled with the lotion bottles that really contained explosive materials, burns down around them. The season cuts out as Bea and Twila hold hands and surrender to Andrei’s men. 

Elsewhere, Dane (Adrian Lester) and his team enter a remote home to find that Bea’s husband Chris is alive and well, just in hiding! What was he doing all this time? That’s another question we need an answer to! 

When Could Ponies Season 2 Release? 

Should Peacock do the right thing and swiftly get us a renewal for Ponies Season 2, we expect that a second season could be here by 2027! Here’s hoping the creators and writers are already dreaming up what comes next for our heroines!
