Patriots’ Drake Maye opens up on wife’s viral baking fame
Drake Maye is one proud husband.
As the second-year quarterback continues to guide the 11-2 Patriots up the AFC mountaintop, he’s also watched in awe as wife Ann Michael Maye has become a social media sensation overnight with her viral baking videos on TikTok.

“It’s been awesome,” Maye said of his wife of five months on “WEEI Afternoons,” according to NESN. “(She’s) in her little journey doing ‘Bakemas’ right now. I get to do the good part of trying all her stuff she bakes. I try to bring some leftovers into the building.”
Maye’s childhood sweetheart, Ann Michael has amassed nearly 200,000 TikTok followers while spotlighting her holiday recipes with a “Bakemas” series, in which she plans to whip up something new each day in the lead up to Christmas.
A video posted Dec. 1 has racked up 1.5 million views and counting as of Wednesday.
“All hail the Queen of New England,” one commenter posted.
“Gisele never did Bakemas with us,” another user wrote of Gisele Bündchen, the ex-wife of legendary quarterback Tom Brady.
Patriots fans have been filled with cheer this year as Maye, the third overall pick in 2024, has taken the leap in his sophomore season, throwing for 23 touchdowns against six interceptions in 13 games.
The 23-year-old QB tossed 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions as a rookie.
The Patriots, winners of six Super Bowls in the Brady-Bill Belichick era, are currently the second seed in the AFC playoff picture and are atop their division.
