San Diego is also receiving former Yankee lefty JP Sears, while the A’s are receiving four players, including the No. 3 prospect in the sport in shortstop Leo De Vries.
The Post’s Joel Sherman mentioned Wednesday how Miller, who is under control through 2028, represented one of the most intriguing options available.
There were questions about whether the A’s would pull the trigger, though, but closers are bringing in massive hauls this deadline and they joined in on the fun.

Sherman reported the A’s wanted a top-25 prospect and they received him one in De Vries, with three other pitchers included in the package, per ESPN.
