The 8-second video, without audio, shows the Boeing’s right wing carving through the tail stabilizer of the Airbus like a hot knife through butter.
Debris from both planes is seen scattered across the runway, according to the video, filmed by someone aboard the Boeing.
Vietnam Airlines has suspended the four pilots, two on either plane, in the wake of the accident, whose cause remains under investigation. Preliminary findings suggest the Airbus was not parked correctly on the runway.
The Boeing damaged its wing tip in the incident. Replacement planes were eventually found to transport all 386 passengers between both damaged planes to their final destinations.
No one was injured.
An independent team hired by the airline will be investigating the accident, along with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
Vietnam Airlines did not respond to a request for comment.
