The Redhawks are 4-0 in the MAC, but the Bobcats are right behind them at 3-1, making this a massive clash.

Ohio is a 3.5-point favorite.

Miami vs. Ohio odds, prediction

These two teams are not all that different.

They both run the ball quite a bit, and they do so effectively, at least relative to where they stand on the FBS ladder.

Miami averages 4.4 yards per rush (53rd in the country) and puts up 152.7 yards per game (60th).

Ohio is slightly better at 4.9 yards per rush and 194.9 yards per game, but it also runs the ball about seven more times per contest compared to its in-state rivals.

The Bobcats’ aerial attack boasts a stronger statistical profile compared to Miami’s, but theystruggle to stop the pass.

The opposite is true when Ohio has the ball.

Betting on College Football?

The Bobcats are a pretty efficient passing attacking, but the Redhawks’ secondary is strong by MAC standards, allowing just 6.3 yards per pass (24th) and a 58.9 percent completion rate (31st).

The one potentially glaring difference in the tale of the tape is in the defensive trenches. While Miami does a decent job at stopping the run, the Bobcats are closer to middling.

Miami allows just 3.9 yards per carry (45th) and concedes just 132.4 yards per game on the ground (42nd), while Ohio gives up 4.6 yards per rush (92nd) and 148.6 rushing yards per contest (60th).

It may seem like a negligible difference, but considering how close the tale of the tape is between these two rivals is, it’s enough to warrant a bet on the underdog Tuesday evening.
