Odds, pick, best bet for Saturday’s Big Ten battle
You gotta love the Nebraska Cornhusker family.
The Cornhuskers have sold out every home game since Nov. 3, 1962, a span of 405 games, which is over twice as long as the country’s second-longest streak (Oklahoma).

What’s most impressive is that the streak has survived despite a couple of lean years of football in Lincoln. Nebraska went 7-6 in 2024, ending a run of seven losing years in a row for the Huskers.
Just getting to a bowl game was enough to send Nebraska fans into optimism overdrive this summer, and a 3-0 start to the campaign has added to the hope.
A win over Michigan in front of a 406th-straight packed house at Memorial Stadium would take things to a whole new level.
Michigan vs. Nebraska odds, prediction
While Nebraska came into the season with more hope than hype, the opposite was true of Michigan, which finished 2024 with a bang and then made headlines by getting blue-chip quarterback Bryce Underwood to sign up.
The Wolverines wasted no time in naming Underwood the starter and the early returns have unsurprisingly been a mixed bag.
Underwood was splendid in a win over Central Michigan, solid against New Mexico, but he was uninspiring in Michigan’s lone loss to Oklahoma.

The Sooners have established themselves as a contender in the loaded SEC, but the fact that Underwood didn’t pass his only stiff test this season does make you wonder how he’ll handle a terrific defense and a hostile environment Saturday.
This matchup pits two elite defenses against one another, but it does seem like Michigan is getting too much credit from the betting market based on recent pedigree.
The quarterback edge goes to the Huskers, as does home-field advantage, while everything else in the tale of the tape seems like a wash.
I’ll take the home underdog against a freshman quarterback.
