A New Jersey cop allegedly recorded surveillance footage of a female arrestee performing a sex act in a jail cell on his phone and then shared the X-rated clip over Snapchat, prosecutors said Monday.
Ventnor City police officer Ryan Bonanni, 24, was charged Monday with official misconduct, computer theft and three counts of invasion of privacy, following the incident with the woman who was arrested by the local department on July 6, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bonanni, of Egg Harbor Township, accessed security video of the woman, identified only by her initials BW, undressing herself and then engaging in a sexual act while in a holding cell, the prosecutor’s office said.

He then allegedly filmed those clips on his cell phone and began sharing them with others on the social media messaging platform.
“We understand the charges against a Ventnor officer reflect poorly on our department, but they do not depict the department as a whole,” Police Chief
Joseph Wooton said in a statement, according to NJ.com.
“The men and women of the Ventnor City Police Department will continue to serve the citizens and visitors of Ventnor City with the utmost honor, integrity and respect.”

The indicted cop is currently suspended.
He was charged with second-degree official misconduct, second-degree computer theft and three counts of third-degree invasion of privacy.
