Nikki Reed reveals if she would play Rosalie again in ‘Twilight’ as franchise celebrates 20 years

Nikki Reed is ready to return to Forks, Washington. As the “Twilight” franchise marks 20 years, the actress revealed that she would reprise her role of Rosalie Hale if she could.

“Yeah. Of course,” Reed, 37, exclusively told The Post while on the Environmental Media Awards green carpet. “I mean, I love Rosalie so much, of course, but I’m not in the know with what’s happening. So don’t come to me because I don’t know!”

“I would love to know,” the actress quipped.

The film franchise was based on the young adult novels by Stephenie Meyer of the same name and followed Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) who is torn between vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

The star-studded cast also included Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Elizabeth Reaser and Jackson Rathbone.

The original “Twilight” book was published in 2005. During a FanX panel last month, Reed reflected on the novels turning 20.

“I think it’s incredible,” she gushed. “I mean, 20 years, I have no idea how long it will continue to go on. I’ve heard whispers of maybe Stephenie working on something else. … It might just keep going.”

“There was so much we didn’t get to explore in the films that does live in the books,” the environmentalist explained.

“Just seeing her backstory in the third film … was really special, because I think it humanized her in a way that she really deserves. I love that character, and I think she really deserved to have that part of her story told.”

Reed also harped on some similarities between herself and Rosalie — both priding themselves on being loyal and protective.

“I would love to see her as a mom,” gushed the entrepreneur.

Behind-the-scenes, the cast took what Reed labeled a “vampire cat class,” to learn how to move like cats in order to better portray vampires.

“We laugh about it now, but it was actually a very cool bonding experience, if nothing else,” the mom of two admitted, noting that the cast is still close today.

While talking to “Good Morning America” in September, Meyer, 51, revealed she might have something up her sleeve.

“I have other stories outlined,” the author confessed, “that I don’t know if we’ll ever get to.”

“I’ll have somebody disseminate [my outlines] after my death,” Meyer added. “If I never get around to it.”

While Reed and her “Twilight” family will always be bound by blood, the actress also took a moment to speak about her life outside of acting, which includes advocating for sustainability.

“Once you know, you can’t un-know,” she told The Post at the Environmental Media Awards. “And I think once that door is opened in your mind, there’s endless opportunities. And it doesn’t have to be daunting. And it doesn’t mean that you have to change your entire life.

And Reed makes it a point to practice what she preaches.

“I’ve worn this skirt probably more than five times to public events,” she shared. “And I’m all about re-wearing things. I think there’s no shame in wearing the same thing twice. I actually find it very interesting and challenging to try to dress it up in a different way.”

“I think there’s endless opportunities, but it really just starts with being aware and trying to just putting your best foot forward and trying.”

Reed lives an eco-friendly life alongside her husband of 10 years, Ian Somerhalder. The couple are parents to daughter Bodhi, who was born in 2017, and a son who was born in 2023.

“I think we share a lot of the same [ideas],” she said of the “Vampire Diaries” alum, 46. “I mean, it’s amazing that you can sit across the table from someone at dinner and talk to them about the same things and you both are like, ‘Yes, I want to do that too. Yes!’ Maybe we introduce each other to new things, but I think we’re both into it.”
