Nicola Peltz’s billionaire dad slapped with daily fine for addition to $372M mansion

Nicola Peltz’s billionaire dad, Nelson Peltz, has been ordered to pay an $8,250 fine — and counting — for his Florida mansion’s secret padel court.
The 83-year-old did not get approval for the addition to his $372 million, 13-acre mansion, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The outlet reported on Monday that Nelson and his wife, Claudia Peltz, are being charged a daily $250 penalty after the Palm Beach Code Enforcement Board unanimously voted for the fine on Nov. 20.
The couple, who wed in 1985, are reportedly being charged retroactively back to Oct. 30.
As of Nov. 25, Nelson and Claudia, 70, were on the hook for $6,750, meaning the number would have increased to $8,250 by Monday.
The total could continue to grow in perpetuity unless the residents remove the court or get the Town Council’s approval for it.
If the latter occurred, Nelson and Claudia could request the Code Enforcement Board for a reduction in their fine.
Board Member Chris Larmoyeux speculated in October as to why Nelson, who has an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion, neglected to obtain a “special exception” for the court by holding a public hearing.
This route, notably, did not go well for other property owners last year.
“You figure you hide it,” Larmoyeux guessed during last month’s meeting. “Unless someone flies over with a drone, you don’t see it.”
Construction of the illegal court kicked off in May, with Board Chair Martin Klein claiming Nelson and Claudia were informed that same month that they did not have the necessary permits.
They did, however, receive permission in June 2024 to have a concrete slab on their property, which was built four months later.
Code Enforcement Officer John Moriarty explained that this is where the court now resides.
When the matter was first addressed at an October meeting, Nelson and Claudia were not present and did not send a representative.
In the couple’s absence, it was voted that they must pay a $150 administrative fee.
At the time, the board ruled they had until the 30th to comply — otherwise, Nelson and Claudia would be slapped with the $250 daily penalty they now face.
The businessman bought the mansion in 1987.
Nicola, 30, and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, tied the knot at the sprawling estate in April 2022.
Reps for Nicola and Nelson have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
