NFL Week 15 early predictions: Best bets, picks to target before lines move

A fully loaded schedule of meaningful football is coming for us during Week 15.

Bye weeks officially behind us for the rest of the season while we target some potential line moves early in the week ahead of “Monday Night Football” between the Chargers and Eagles.

This week, we’re targeting some more spreads with the hopes of landing some line movement that will eventually (hopefully) lead to middle opportunities later in the week.

Last week, neither of the two picks resulted in closing line value, but the Jaguars +1.5 and Packers -6.5 did result in wins.

So, at least if you were stuck with those two wagers, they ended up being winners.

NFL Week 15 early predictions

Broncos +2.5 vs. Packers

Bad beat on Sunday aside, this spread has gotten out of control.

This spread is unlikely to get to three; otherwise, I’d like to wait a bit. Initially, the Broncos opened at -1.5 on the lookahead line from a few days ago.

The influx of money on the Packers has forced them to move this line, and some sportsbooks have already moved this spread to +1.5, so we’ll take +2.5 while it’s still there at FanDuel.

This line could move back, closer to pick’em status ahead of Sunday. In Denver, I don’t see the Packers’ spread going to -3 on the road.

This would be a good spot to grab Green Bay on Sunday, gameday.

Betting on the NFL?

Bengals +2.5 vs. Ravens

The Ravens played a little better in the second half of Sunday’s near comeback against the Steelers, but they weren’t able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The Bengals also played a wild one in which they led the Bills by 10 points in the fourth, then trailed by 11 points three minutes later and still nearly made a comeback.

This +2.5 line has not moved on bet365 and FanDuel since opening, and that may be foolish. Cincinnati has Joe Burrow playing excellent football, which should at least prompt some line movement.

Some sportsbooks, like DraftKings and sharp Vegas book Circa Sports, have already moved to 1.5 for this game so I suspect that there will be at least a little movement here.
