Underdogs cleaned up on the holidays, with 851 entries eliminated and only 44 remaining by the end of the week.
If your pick ’em or survivor league doesn’t have that feature, you likely dodged a significant roadblock for entry.

Browns (-4.5) vs. Titans
My model has 4.5, which has a very strong number in favor of the Browns. Not that the spread matters much, but it’s noteworthy regardless.
Backing Shedeur Sanders certainly feels like a foolish task, but we have to operate on the assumption that most of the teams you would normally want to target are used.
Now, if you still have the Buccaneers or Seahawks, by all means fire away.
Betting on the NFL?
But you could do worse than Cleveland, which has one of the NFL’s best pass rushes.
Assuming the rookie QB battle is a wash, the Browns should have Tennessee beaten everywhere else by a wide margin.
Cleveland’s defense at home is allowing just 17.2 points per game at home, one of the best figures in the league.
Commanders (+1.5) @ Vikings
That’s right, an underdog pick if you’re in the most desperate of spots this week.
The Commanders, who have lost seven in a row and come in here as underdogs, might be the hold-your-breath pick of the week.
Washington has come close against some good teams this year, including back-to-back overtime losses.
My model thinks the Commanders are undervalued here, favoring them by four points.
Keep a close eye on the injury reports — there’s a nonzero chance that Jayden Daniels plays.
