New video shows moment Brown University gunman chillingly strolled through campus parking lot immediately after shooting

Newly obtained dash camera footage captured the moment Brown University gunman Claudio Manuel Neves Valente chillingly strolled across a campus parking lot mere moments after he shot and killed two students during finals in December.
Neves Valente, 48, is seen on dash camera video obtained by ABC News walking through a parking lot adjacent to the Barus and Holley building, where he opened fire inside a classroom, killing two students and injuring nine others.

He crossed right in front of a Brown University shuttle bus, which had its dash camera on and captured the few seconds he lingered in the parking lot before disappearing down the street.
His right hand was shoved deep in his pants pocket as he jaywalked back towards the residential neighborhood he cased in the weeks leading up to the shooting, according to the video.
The Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General told the outlet that they believe the video was recorded immediately after the shooting.
ABC News secured the video through a public records request, but noted that authorities have routinely denied similar filings for additional records linked to the police’s muddled response to the shooting.
After Neves Valente fled Providence with little trouble, he cruised to Brookline, Mass. where he shot and killed MIT professor Nuno Loureiro, 47, outside his home.
Authorities later discovered that Neves Valente and Loureiro attended the Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal at the same time and even took a course together, though they never landed on a firm explanation for why the MIT professor was targeted.
Police uncovered a series of confessional videos Neves Valente recorded shortly before he killed himself inside a storage unit in Salem, New Hampshire, but he didn’t mention Loureiro by name.
In the videos, Neves Valente goes on a multi-part rant celebrating the execution of “six semesters” worth of planning. He showed no remorse for gunning down three innocents in cold blood.
“I already know what you are going to say — that I am mentally ill, or some s–t like that. That is all nonsense. That’s all bulls—t excuses. I am — I am sane,” Valente raged.
The killer hinted at three emails he said he sent to unspecified parties elaborating on his motive, according to a transcript of the confessions. Authorities have yet to specify what those emails entailed, and who they were sent to.
