The two are only entitled to receive money earned during their nearly nine-year marriage, according to the docs obtained by Page Six.
Tatum and Dewan finalized their divorce in September 2024, six years after they split. The exes agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their now 12-year-old daughter, Everly, and to privately meet with a judge if there were conflicts over child support.
Dewan originally filed for divorce in 2018. The exes went through a lengthy battle over the actor’s “Magic Mike” profits, as Tatum began filming the highly successful movie franchise while they were still married.
The actor accused his ex of using a “delay tactic” to prolong their divorce proceedings in August 2024.
In court documents obtained by Page Six, Tatum’s attorneys stated that he “made exhaustive efforts to settle all issues in this matter without litigation.” They also stated that he made “countless settlement proposals, attended multiple mediations, his attorneys have prepared numerous drafts of a proposed judgment, and he has tried to resolve issues directly.”
Dewan’s attorneys denied Tatum’s claims and in turn accused him of trying to “stall the trial proceedings by blocking the release of relevant and material documents regarding ‘Magic Mike’ transactions that Jenna is entitled to receive.”
“In reality, Channing is using every trick in the book to stall this case from getting to a trial. He is depriving Jenna of a fair and equal share of the community estate, and he is prejudicing her every day that this case continues,” the court docs read.
“As long as this divorce case lingers on, he will continue to enjoy the unfair benefit of collecting the ‘Magic Mike’ proceeds without paying Jenna her fair share — something he has been doing for years,” the docs continued.
Tatum said he and Dewan were on better terms in an interview with Variety published in September.
“Jenna and I are good now, but it was a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young,” Tatum said of their split.
“We tried to keep it together, tried for a year and a half, but we knew it was … Not to go into all that,” he added.
He also shared that it was hard for him to have to split time with Everly.
“It’s in the past. But it’s really tough not to have your daughter half the time,” he said. “I wish I could just have her all the time.”
Both Tatum and Dewan have moved on romantically since their split. Tatum is currently dating model Inka Williams, 26, while Dewan has been engaged to actor Steve Kazee since 2020. The couple shares two children together: son Callum, 5, and daughter Rhiannon, 1.
