Nate Landman’s sister thrilled over Troy Aikman shoutout during Rams vs. Falcons game

Troy Aikman gave an unexpected shoutout to a Rams linebacker’s sister during “Monday Night Football,” and she couldn’t have been more thrilled about the moment.
Aikman doled out the acknowledgement in the first quarter of Los Angeles’ road matchup with the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, when he was giving some props to Nate Landman for forcing a Kirk Cousins incompletion.

Aikman praised Landman for “getting better and better and better” — and after launching into a quick conversation about Paramount+’s hit show “Landman,” he offered up a neat nugget about the player’s family.
“The interesting thing,” Aikman said on air. “Guess what his sister’s name is?”
“I’m not even going to try,” Joe Buck responded.
“Ocean Landman,” the Hall of Fame quarterback said. “And she was a swimmer at Oregon State. So there you go.”
Ocean, a fitness influencer who swam at Oregon State from 2009-13, apparently watched the whole interaction unfold, and she shared her excited reaction to it in a video on her Instagram page.
“When @troyaikman gives you a shoutout on Monday night football,” she wrote in a caption on the vid. “Let’s go Nate.”
Unfortunately for the Landmans, the Rams went on to lose in a nail-biter, 27-24. Ocean’s little brother, though, did tally six combined tackles in the defeat — and shook off an injury scare early in the fourth quarter.
It remains to be seen if Landman will play in the Rams’ finale on Sunday against the Cardinals, as Los Angeles is locked into the NFC’s No. 6 seed ahead of the playoffs.
