Natasha Cloud’s WNBA All-Star Game case isn’t straightforward



The Liberty will be well represented at All-Star weekend in Indianapolis later this month. 

Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu were named All-Star starters earlier this week. And coach Sandy Brondello was tabbed to coach Team Napheesa Collier because the Liberty had the second-best winning percentage as of Thursday.

Two more Liberty players — Natasha Cloud and Jonquel Jones — are holding out hope they’ll hear their names called Sunday when the league unveils the 12 reserves, who are picked by the league coaches. 

Jones had a case to be an All-Star starter, averaging 15.6 points and 11.3 rebounds in the first six games before spraining her right ankle. She’s been limited to just nine games, and while there’s not a required minimum games played to be named an All-Star, it seems unlikely considering the circumstances.
