Multiple people stabbed on train in England — 2 arrested, 12 injured


Multiple people were stabbed on a train in Cambridgeshire, England, on Saturday by two suspects who brutally set upon terrified passengers with knives, according to reports.

As many as 12 people were injured in the attack carried out by two unidentified suspects who wielded large knives on the train as it left a train station in Peterborough, Sky News reported.

The two men were tasered, restrained, and taken into custody by police, according to that report.

A mad rush commenced in the train during the attack, sending bloodied riders rushing to avoid further carnage.

“They were making their way through the carriage to get away from the suspects. They were extremely bloodied,” a man using the named Gavin told Sky News.

“We are currently responding to an incident on a train in Huntingdon where multiple people have been stabbed,” the British Transport Police wrote on X Saturday.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer lamented the bloodshed and offered condolences in a social media post.  He did not say anything about the identity of the attackers for their motive.

“The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning. My thought are with those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response,” the British leader said on X.
