MLB odds, player props, picks Saturday

A day after Clayton Kershaw made the last start of his legendary career at Chavez Ravine on Friday in a 6-3 win, the Dodgers and Giants continue their rivalry series in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Dodgers will send Tyler Glasnow, who’s had an up-and-down season, to the mound as they look to keep control in the National League West race.

Los Angeles has pushed its lead to four games over the Padres with just eight games remaining for both squads.

Glasnow got off to a slow start, posting a 4.50 ERA before hitting the injured list with right shoulder inflammation, which sidelined him for two months.

Since returning in early July, Glasnow has looked more like his ace-like self with a 2.66 ERA.

Glasnow can get wild and will allow the occasional home run, but he’s been doing what he does best since coming back from the shoulder injury – throwing nearly unhittable stuff.

In 64 ⅓ innings over that stretch, Glasnow has allowed just 35 hits.

His .160 batting average against is the lowest in baseball among pitchers with at least 60 innings pitched since July 1.

Glasnow just so happened to face the Giants in his last start in San Francisco.

Over 6 ⅔ innings in that outing, he allowed just three hits.

The start before that, Glasnow no-hit the Rockies over seven innings before leaving the game.

The Giants’ recent offensive explosion has slowed down in recent days, too.

Heading into Friday’s game, the Giants were hitting just .153 over the last seven days, which was the second-lowest in the majors over that period.

The play: Tyler Glasnow to allow Under 3.5 hits (+135, bet365)
