Mitt Romney’s sister-in-law Carrie Elizabeth found dead at 64 on LA suburb street


The sister-in-law of former presidential nominee and Utah senator Mitt Romney was found dead on a street in a Los Angeles suburb Friday evening, according to officials and reports.

Carrie Elizabeth Romney was discovered dead on a street near a shopping mall parking garage in Valencia, Calif. at around 8:30 p.m.,  TMZ reported.

She was 64 years old. Her death is being investigated, but her body is ready for release, according to records from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s homicide bureau suggested that the 64-year-old may have fallen or jumped from the multi-story parking garage, but no foul play is suspected, according to the outlet.

The Post reached out to the sheriff’s department and the medical examiner’s office for more information, as well as Mitt Romney.
