Mike Vrabel has a few thoughts on Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding

Mike Vrabel isn’t expecting an invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s pending nuptials, and he wasn’t really interested in giving too many thoughts on the “proposal heard around the world” when he spoke with reporters on Wednesday. 

The Patriots head coach said there would be “no shot” he was invited to the wedding and said he did have thoughts on the engagement, but “none that I’m gonna share right now.” 

“Should be an interesting wedding, maybe it’s in Nashville, maybe it’s a destination wedding, I’m not sure, but should be a fun one if we get invited,” Vrabel said. 

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday in an Instagram post they captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” accompanied by loved-up photos of the two stars. 

The news of their engagement sent Swifties everywhere jumping for joy, reaching all walks of life, including the U.S. Open in Queens, where Iga Świątek spent a good chunk of a post-match press conference discussing the news. 

Jason Kelce, Travis’ brother, addressed the engagement news in a clip shared on the “New Heights” podcast social media accounts. 

“We felt it was necessary as a team here at ‘New Heights’ to get together, send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged. Yeah! The proposal heard around the world! F–k yeah!” Jason said in the clip. 

The couple went public with their relationship in 2023 after Swift appeared at a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24, 2023. 

The pop icon became a regular presence at Chiefs games during the team’s run to the Super Bowl the last two seasons, and Kelce made several appearances at shows during Swift’s global Eras Tour. 

The announcement came just weeks after Swift appeared on a special episode of the “New Heights” podcast, where she announced the upcoming release of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
