Miami man wakes up to burglar touching his genitals, urinating on him: cops

A Miami man woke up terrified to a burglar groping his genitals and then urinating on him before he fled, according to police.

The victim told police he may have left his door open before he woke up around 4 a.m. Sunday morning to find burglary suspect Maykel Rodridguez — a US Air Force veteran — “on top of me and touching my penis over my clothing,” according to a police report obtained by WPLG.

Rodriguez, 34, then “proceeded to expose his penis and urinate on me before leaving the room,” the victim told police.

Rodriguez told the man, “I know you,” as he grabbed his clothes and then fled the Flagami neighborhood apartment, the victim recalled.

The victim was able to give cops a description of the burglar, who was positively identified as Rodriguez and who lives just a few blocks away from the scene of the crime.

Rodriguez was arrested and charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling, battery and indecent exposure.

At a court appearance on Monday, prosecutors asked that he be held without bond pending a hearing, according to WPLG.

“The facts are pretty egregious,” prosecutor Nessa Eth said. “He’s breaking into someone’s room at four in the morning, molesting him, urinating on him.”

Rodriguez’s defense attorney revealed that he had served five years in the US Air Force and requested that he be released on bond, which the judge ultimately denied.

Instead, she found probable cause to upgrade the charge to burglary with assault or battery, noting “there may be more to the story.”

If found guilty of burglary with assault or battery, Rodriguez could get a life sentence, Glazer said.
