Meghan McCain is pregnant, expecting baby No. 3 with husband Ben Domenech
Meghan McCain is pregnant with her and her husband’s third child — a baby boy — and she’s admittedly “very nervous.”
The former “View” co-host, 40, announced the news while interviewing Vice President JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, for Wednesday’s episode of her “Citizen McCain” podcast.

“I hope you don’t mind — I wanted to let you in on something that is private that I haven’t talked about publicly yet because one of the things I have so enjoyed about you and your husband is seeing how you incorporate your children in your life in so many ways,” McCain told Usha — who shares son Ewan, 8, son Vivek, 5, and daughter Mirabel, 3, with JD – according to People’s sneak peek listen.
“You travel with them, and they’re very public with you when you go to different kinds of events. … I just love it.”
McCain then noted that she and her husband, Ben Domenech, are parents to “two little girls”: Liberty, 4, and Clover, 2.
“I’m entering my second trimester. I’m pregnant with my third,” she revealed. “I know this is a weird way to announce it. It’s a boy. I’m very nervous about having a boy, and I’m very nervous about having three children. Very.”
The daughter of late Senator John McCain made sure to thank Usha, 39, for letting her share the news given that they had met only “20 minutes” prior.
Meghan then explained that she’s read “all this horrible data” about how three children is “the worst amount of kids to have.”
She asked Usha if she could share both her perspective on being a mom of three and “advice for boy moms.”
“I love having three kids. I’m a huge proponent of it,” Usha replied.
“Obviously, people wanna have different family sizes for different reasons, but what I’ve really enjoyed about three kids is that it’s just enough for them all to be kind of a pack. … It’s awesome.”
With regard to sons, which Meghan had always heard were more “rambunctious” than daughters, Usha confirmed that her boys have “a lot of energy.”
She added that both “the growth curves” and “the timeline of development” also differ quite a bit from boy to girl.
Meghan and Domenech, 43, married in November 2021.
