“She even came to my wedding (15 years ago!), and she’s been the most amazing, nurturing, fun, loving human. She’s been by my side, especially since Georgie died, and I cherish our friendship very much,” she concluded.
Zajfen’s son, George, died in 2022 at just 9-years-old after suffering from COVID-19 and viral meningitis.
Since the Alliance of Moms co-founder and her husband, Julian Zajfen, lost their son, Markle, 44, has been supporting her close friend by attending numerous charities and joining her in fundraising efforts.
In April 2024, the duchess and her former “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer attended Kelly’s Alliance of Moms charity event and modeled graphic T-shirts that give back to young parents in foster care.
The three women wore a white shirt ($38) with the words “Love like a mother” in a bold red font.
Last October, the friends attended the Children’s Hospital LA Gala together. The duo walked the green carpet in support of CHLA and the “extraordinary care” they have provided to George’s twin sister, Lily, who suffers from heart issues.
The personal blogger took to Instagram and expressed her gratitude for Markle’s support shortly after the event.
“I was also beyond grateful to share in this beautiful evening with one of my closest friends,” Kelly wrote at the time.
“Meg, your commitment to supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and community is truly inspiring. I’m so grateful to have you by my side. ❤️🩹”
Markle’s BFF also appeared in Season 1 of her Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” and penned a lengthy message to Instagram about the “most memorable and joyful” experience she had filming.
“Feeling so grateful to have been a part of ‘With Love, Megan’ and even more grateful to witness my best friend shine so brightly,” she wrote in March.
“Meghan, you are pure magic and so full of love in everything you do—hosting, nurturing, creating joy. It all pours out of you so effortlessly, so beautifully, and not just on the show but every single day.”
She concluded her message to say how “beyond incredible” filming was and called the mom of two “the most amazing hostess” whose love was “felt by all.”
