Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas, makes desperate plea to actress from hospital bed

Meghan Markle’s estranged dad, Thomas Markle, issued an urgent request to his daughter from a hospital bed after he had his leg amputated.
The retired lighting director, 81, asked the “Suits” alum to see him “one more time before I die” as he recuperated in a hospital bed following the partial amputation of his left leg earlier this week in the Philippines, per the Mail on Sunday.

Thomas also said that he hoped to meet with Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, “before it’s too late.”
Thomas told the outlet that he was “confused” by claims that the As Ever founder “reached out” to him following the three-hour surgery after Meghan’s rep confirmed to Page Six that she contacted her dad as he faced the procedure.
“I can confirm she has reached out to her father,” the representative told us Friday.
The Markle patriarch further told the Mail on Sunday that he didn’t change his phone number so Meghan “could always get in touch with me,” but claimed he did not hear from her.
“Mr Markle is a VIP patient. Of course, we all know who he is,” a hospital source told the outlet. “If Meghan or anyone connected with her had called here, we would have known. It is a big hospital by Filipino standards but we all know each other and we all talk.”
“We were all confused when we saw the story that the duchess had reached out to her dad,” they added. “As far as we are aware, it didn’t happen. We would love to see the duchess here in the Philippines!”
“Of course I want to speak to her but I am not sure if these are the right circumstances,” Thomas said, per the outlet.
“I’ve always said I am open to reconciling with my daughter. I have never stopped loving her,” he continued. “I don’t want to die estranged from Meghan. I want to meet my grandkids. It might be nice to meet her husband, too.”
Page Six has reached out to a rep for Meghan for comment but did not immediately hear back.
On Friday, Meghan’s sister, Samantha Markle, took to X to refute Meghan’s claims she’d reached out to their ailing father.
“Houston there’s been no contact… Time to stop the PR b******* Medusa,” Samantha wrote in one tweet.
Meghan’s brother, Thomas Markle Jr., told the Daily Mail on Thursday that Thomas Sr. was “very brave” while facing the three-hour surgery.
“His foot turned blue and then black. It happened very quickly,” he recalled to the outlet.
Thomas Sr. was transported to a hospital in Cebu, Philippines, for emergency surgery, during which he had his left leg amputated below the knee.
“They were worried about infection setting in — sepsis or gangrene. The flesh was black and dying,” Thomas Jr. explained, adding that, “the next two or three days are critical.”
News initially broke on Dec. 2 that Thomas Sr. was in the intensive care unit after an emergency surgery earlier this week.
Thomas Sr. — who missed Meghan and Prince Harry’s 2018 nuptials due to heart surgery — shares Meghan with ex-wife Doria Ragland, and Samantha and Thomas Jr. with his first ex-wife, Roslyn Markle.
