‘Materialists,’ ‘Lilo and Stitch,’ + More

Celine Song’s Materialists is new on VOD this week, along with the post-apocalyptic thriller 40 Acres, starring Danielle Deadwyler; you can also catch the remastered version of This Is Spinal Tap and the romantic drama Daniela Forever starring Henry Golding on demand this week, too.

If you’re looking for something more family friendly, Disney’s live-action version of Lilo and Stitch also just dropped on digital this past Tuesday. In the 2025 film, Maia Kealoha makes her film debut as Lilo a girl who adopts a raucous alien who crash lands in Hawai’i. Chris Sanders, who voiced the character of Stitch in the 2002 original animated version of the film, reprises the role of the lovable alien.

Dakota Johnson stars in Materialists, the second feature film from writer-director Celine Song, out now on demands. Johnson plays professional matchmaker named Lucy who finds herself caught between two men, her struggling actor ex-boyfriend, played by Chris Evans, and a new, wealthy beau played by Pedro Pascal.

Danielle Deadwyler stars as the descendant of African American farmers who settled in rural Canada after the American Civil War in 40 Acres. Set in a post-apocalyptic future two hundred years later, she is forced to protect her family and their farm when it comes under siege by outsiders in this dystopian thriller that’s out now.
