The frosty prowler, nicknamed Fuzzy, wandered into the Ice Cream Shop at Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe around 4 a.m. Sunday, and somehow found himself behind the checkout counter hunting for a sweet treat, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the shocking scene and “could barely believe their eyes.”
Photos released by the sheriff’s office show the sugar-craving animal glaring at the camera with a guilty stare after being caught red-pawed.
The furry intruder eventually left with some encouragement — but only after feasting on a tub of strawberry ice cream, officials revealed.

While the bear zeroed in on the tasty treat, it also sampled a variety of other flavors, leaving half-eaten tubs overturned and paw prints scattered across the storefront’s floor, the New York Times reported.
Although the stunning incident caused hardly any damage and required minimal cleanup, the creamery was forced to replace all of their stock.
“We’re pretty sure he didn’t want his claws before he came in,” William Boas, vice president of operations for ExplorUS, which operates Camp Richardson, told the outlet.
“So all the ice cream had to be replaced.”
