‘Married At First Sight’ Exclusive Clip: Will & Brittany Vent To Pat & Rhonda About Their Communication Issues

Now at its new home on Peacock, Married At First Sight is back for Season 19 with 10 new strangers ready to participate in television’s wildest (and most romantic) social experiment. The first four episodes (now available to stream) introduced audiences to the 5 couples: Chad and Belynda; Derrek and Meghann; Josh and Jalyn; Pat and Rhonda; and, Will and Brittany. As they live together as newlyweds for the next 8 weeks, the husbands and wives will have to decide whether to stay together or split for good.
In this exclusive clip from Episode 5, couples Pat and Rhonda and Will and Brittany finish an exhilarating bike ride through a scenic waterfront park. Sensing that Brittany has something weighing on her heart, Rhonda pulls her aside to chat as Pat and Will walk further down the path. The two women look out at the water and settle in. “It’s been such a long few days since the wedding,” begins Rhonda. Brittany nods her head in agreement. “It feels like it’s been longer than what it’s actually been,” says Brittany.

“I think the instant connection is absolutely there, but then it’s like, ‘Okay, wait, we’re realizing that we’re different.’ Like, two very different people,” continues Brittany, referring to her connection with Will. “And now we’re married so it’s like we’ve been thrown together and we have to figure it out.” Knowing Brittany needs someone to listen to her, Rhonda silently encourages her to go on.
“We had a pretty big argument. I felt myself getting frustrated, so I just walked out. I left, and I didn’t tell him where I was going,” admits Brittany. “I learned, okay, that probably wasn’t the best…” Sensing her moment to offer some guidance, Rhonda jumps in. “That’s ‘Independent Brittany.’” Brittany agrees, adding “That’s ‘Independent Brittany,’ but she needs to go away.”
“You just need to balance it out,” says Rhoda sagely. “You still need to be your independent self.” The camera then cuts to Will and Pat on a bench where Will is confiding in his new friend. “Our different conversation styles, I wouldn’t say it’s a concern,” begins Will. “I mean, it’s something I’ve been able to identify, and we know that’s a thing. We’re aware of it.”
“In past relationships, have you had any communication issue?” asks Pat. “Not my last couple of serious ones; that wasn’t a thing,” replies Will. “We really didn’t argue too much.” Pat takes his words in before responding. “I actually think that’s really unusual,” says Pat with a laugh. “No, it is,” says Will. “Maybe you got really lucky on that,” says Pat. “I don’t know how, but they’re not Brittany, so I need to figure out how to do that with her,” replies Will.
