Police pursued a reportedly stolen truck in an especially slow car chase through central Los Angeles. Fox11

The unidentified driver of the work truck crawled through central Los Angeles at just 5 mph, driving so slow an entire fleet of cyclists passed in front of him — apparently unaware of the pursuit, according to footage shot by FOX LA.

Sheriff’s deputies tried to stop the truck on the Pacific Coast Highway and laid out spike strips to tear the tires.

The car had three popped tires. Fox11

Three wheels were popped, KYMA reported, but the driver of the truck motored on, just at a much slower speed.

Throughout the chase, the suspect slowly rolled through red lights without being hit.

All the while, a police cruiser followed shortly behind, waiting for the truck to finally lose steam.

The driver swerved seemingly at random, inching close to cars in oncoming traffic and even bouncing up and down along the sidewalk.

When authorities performed a PIT maneuver to stop the truck, the suspect surrendered. Fox11

He even poked his head out the window a few times and inexplicably yelled at other drivers.

In all, it took roughly 90 minutes for authorities to make a PIT maneuver, forcing the hardly-operable truck to spin out, FOX LA reported. With nowhere left to go, the driver was taken into custody.

Miraculously, no one was injured.

The entire chase took roughly 90 minutes total. Fox11

The Big Apple is no stranger to oddball chases by land and sea.

Just yesterday, a naked man made off with a boat on the Hudson River, letting it all hang out while cops chased him. The 40-year-old freak leapt from boat to boat until he was caught by authorities.

In June, one knife-wielding maniac died after suffering a heart attack during a foot chase with authorities who were trying to stop his drunken escapade through a park in Harlem.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
