Man, 24, abducted at gunpoint in Queens is busted for gun possession after being found

A man who was abducted outside his home in Queens wound up with a slash on his head — and some criminal charges when police allegedly found a loaded gun in his possession, cops and sources said.

Jhann Lara, 24, was held up at gunpoint by three men outside his Woodside residence at 70th Street and Queens Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. Monday. He was then thrown into the back of a black BMW and whisked away down Queens Boulevard, police said.

The young man was found a short time later – about three miles away on Woodward Avenue in Ridgewood – sporting a slash wound to the back of his head, cops said.

He is listed in stable condition, according to police.

It is unclear what the kidnappers’ motives were for abducting Lara and if he had any prior relationship with them, cops said.

Ironically, Lara was the only one to walk away in cuffs.

When police reviewed security camera footage at Lara’s residence, they saw Lara had allegedly left a bag at the doorman’s desk right before he was abducted, cops said.

The cops’ investigation revealed that the bag allegedly contained a loaded handgun, according to police.

Lara was then arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm, among other charges, police said.

When questioned by police as to what he did for a living, Lara told them he’s in the jewelry business, according to sources.

This wouldn’t be Lara’s first run-in with the law.

Lara was arrested back in March and charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, along with other charges, which he has plead not guilty to, according to court databases.
