“I actually contemplated suicide. That probably sounds really weird coming from me because I’m not emo … but I was like, ‘I can’t take this pain anymore.’”

Madonna, 67, clarified that she was “not in the blame game,” though she “used to be that way” by attempting to “seek revenge” on those who had wronged her.

The Grammy winner described the custody battle as “one of the most painful moments of [her] life.”

“Even though my marriage didn’t work out … someone trying to take my child away from me, it was like, ‘They might as well just kill me,’” she explained. “That’s what I was thinking.”

Madonna recalled being on her Rebel Heart Tour and having “to go on stage every night” when she was hashing out the legal matter with her lawyers.

“I would just be lying on the floor of my dressing room, sobbing,” she said. “I really thought it was the end of the world. I couldn’t take it.”

“But thank God, I don’t feel that way anymore,” the “Like a Virgin” singer continued.

Madonna explained that her spiritual journey has helped her through rough patches, saying that she now views difficult experiences as lessons rather than punishments.

The “Vogue” songstress and Guy, 57, were married from 2000 to 2008 and welcomed a daughter, Lourdes Leon, now 28, in 1996, and Rocco, now 25, in 2000.

In 2016, Madonna and the film director found themselves hashing out a custody agreement after Rocco — who was 15 years old at the time — sought to move to the UK to live with his father.

The custody war sparked in December 2015 when Rocco refused to travel back from London to New York to spend the holidays with Madonna.

At the time, a judge ordered Rocco to return to the Big Apple despite a source telling The Post that the then-teenager wasn’t “getting along with his mom.”

In September 2016, the exes settled the case, and Rocco was approved to live abroad with Ritchie.
