‘Love Island: Beyond The Villa’ Star Serena Page Gives Update On Her Relationship With Kordell Beckham’s Cat
Love Island USA Season 6 introduced us to one of the greatest girl groups since Destiny’s Child. Leah Kateb, Serena Page, and JaNa Craig proved that the real romance in the show was rooted in sisterhood, hence why fans have lovingly referred to them as PPG (Powerpuff Girls) ever since they found fame on the Peacock dating series. While the three women have found lifelong friendships with each other, they also emerged from the Fijian villa in serious relationships, which are now being followed in the spinoff series Love Island: Beyond the Villa.
Page and Kordell Beckham, winners of Love Island USA Season 6, are navigating busy schedules in Beyond the Villa, with Beckham spending most of his time on the road for work. While speaking to Decider, Page admitted she was “a bit dramatic” about feeling separation anxiety since they were only apart for all of three weeks, but that wasn’t the only hurdle they’ve had to navigate. Because of Page’s deep-rooted fear of cats, they had to figure out how to make things work with Beckham’s kitten, Milo. However, it sounds like they are moving in the right direction. “I did get to feed the cat a snack out of my hand,” Page told us during a Zoom call.

Speaking of animals, Kateb has gotten to share her love of pets with Miguel Harichi, whom she began officially dating shortly after they were named runner-ups on Love Island USA Season 6. “I think it’s so special that I’m with someone that loves my animals as much as I do, and I think that’s so big,” she said.
While Page suggested that Kateb and Harichi would get engaged first, JaNa Craig said she stopped putting a timeline on her relationship with Kenny Rodriguez. “I used to have a timeline. I don’t really have a timeline anymore,” she said. “We kind of just go with the flow. I feel it’s way better to put no pressure on anything and just let it grow on its own.”
Check out our full interview with Page, Kateb, and Craig below.
DECIDER: I love that you three are still going strong with your men. We hear a lot of talk about the future and potential wedding bells in the show. Are those conversations you guys are currently having with the guys? Who is probably the closest to an engagement?
SERENA PAGE: I would say we’re all just barely hitting a year, so although I feel like we see it for all of us in the near future, I feel that’s a conversation for our men. They will be the ones proposing. But Leah will probably get engaged first.
LEAH KATEB: Probably, yeah. I love my man.
Leah, I felt like I was watching a Nicholas Sparks movie when you had Miguel at your farm in Episode 2. What was it like to share that part of your life with him?
LEAH: I think it’s so special that I’m with someone that loves my animals as much as I do, and I think that’s so big. It’s always been a thing for me. It is such a special part of my life and he accepts it. Not only that, he really loves it. Today when we were driving here he was like, “I really want to foster another animal.” And I was like, “Same!” I think it’s just the sweetest thing. So I feel very happy and lucky that I’m with someone who also loves all these things.
Serena, you talk a bit about having separation anxiety from Kordell when he’s away working. How have you guys managed to keep the spark alive long distance?
SERENA: It’s not that hard because we were long distance for all of like three weeks, maybe a month. But within that, we saw each other. I want to say the longest period we went without seeing each other was maybe two weeks. So, it’s a bit dramatic. That one I will say is a bit dramatic. But we’ve been together so much even through work and fun and all of that, so when we are not it’s just like that weird feeling where it’s like, “Where’s my other half? Something’s missing.” But yeah, we’re back in the same state.
I’m glad! And hopefully you’re getting along with his cat?
SERENA: Yeah! I did get to feed the cat a snack out of my hand.
Growth. We love to see it. JaNa, you and Kenny are not living together in this show because he felt like you guys needed your own space, but you are living right next door to each other. Would you say the show has brought you closer together? And do you have a timeline on when you want to officially move in?
JANA CRAIG: I don’t think the show brought us together. I feel like we were always very close. Kenny is just very [introverted] and he’s working really hard on breaking out of his shell. So I just respected his space and I understood where he’s coming from. I used to have a timeline. I don’t really have a timeline anymore. We kind of just go with the flow. I feel it’s way better to put no pressure on anything and just let it grow on its own.
One more question for the three of you, because I imagine filming a show like Beyond the Villa is much different than filming Love Island. How did you guys navigate that space and did you find it harder to put it all out there now that you’re household names?
LEAH: I don’t think I would say it was harder to put it out there because it was like, “Oh, whatever. We already did it once.” But it’s obviously hard going back on TV just because it opens you up to criticism and whatnot. But in the grand scheme, I think we all just decided that it was important for us to connect with our supporters and all of that again. So I think we’re happy with our decision.
