Suffolk County police said he was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where his father told Newsday his son, Nico Cassetana, is in a medically induced coma.
One of the sisters allegedly attacked Cassestana after he attempted to protect his younger sister against the two suspects.
Footage obtained by News 12 shows the young man calling 911 to let first responders know he’d just been stabbed.
King and King-Harrison were hit with first-degree gang assault and first-degree assault charges.
“It’s a normal thing to do,” father Lionel Cassetana told Newsday in reference to his adult son standing up for his sister.

The victim’s sister, who is only 14 year old, has been targeted in the past by a group of girls, the dad additionally told News 12.
“I’m glad my son was there and he survived because my daughter would’ve gotten stabbed,” Lionel Cassetana said. “She’s very small, she’s tall, but she’s very slim.
“She would have probably died.”
The sisters were arrested Sunday and are expected to be arraigned Monday.
