“Last night I was on stage, in the middle of ‘One Way Ticket,’” Rimes said in a video shared on Instagram with her more than 1 million followers the next day.

“I feel something pop in my mouth,” she continued. “And if you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

While the “How Do I Live” singer eventually returned to the microphone to continue the show, she admitted that she “panicked” before putting her teeth back in place.

“Then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage,” Rimes explained. “And so, for the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in.”

Although the incident didn’t happen again, Rimes revealed that her teeth later “fell in my mouth” as she sang “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” to thousands of fans.

“Like, ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight,’ completely fell in my mouth,” she said with a laugh.

But the show must go on, and Rimes called the amusing incident “the most epic experience ever.”

“I don’t usually have firsts in my career,” she acknowledged. “That was a first and hopefully a last.”

Rimes put on a second performance at the same venue on Saturday night — and she was fully prepared for her teeth to once again fall out mid-concert.

“We shall see,” she joked hours before the show. “The front row, get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them.”

As for why she decided to discuss the incident on social media, the “I Need You” hitmaker said she wanted her fans to see that she was “keeping it real.”

“Like I said, there wasn’t a f–king thing I could do about it except either walk off, or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it,” she explained. “The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment. You just gotta be real with people.”

“It’s all good,” Rimes, who married actor Eddie Cibrian, 52, in 2011, concluded. “They’re in for now.”

“Love you even more for this,” one follower wrote. “The show must…go on!”

“Wow,” added another. “Impressive to manage that whole situation vocally and with such honesty and professionalism.”

“You are simply amazing! Thank you for sharing that,” a third fan commented. “Made me smile.”

“It’s so nice to see a celebrity so real,” another said. “Keep doing what you’re doing. You are the best.”

Rimes is currently on tour, with her next performance date scheduled for July 12 at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, HI.
