The clip featured the reality star-turned-billionaire beauty mogul dressed in a black leather bra, matching micro-shorts, silver hip chains, translucent black tights and black pointed-toe pumps.
Her long, dark, wavy locks — with teal highlights — cascaded down her shoulders, and she sported smoldering makeup.
Handcuffed, Jenner, 28, strutted down the hallway of a jail or prison in slow motion as two police officers walked behind her on either side.
“King Kylie. Tomorrow,” flashed across the screen as a woman was heard whispering the words.
“King Kylie” refers to Jenner’s rebellious style in 2015 — the year she launched her Lip Kits that developed into the empire she has today.
Some fans were excited about the return of Jenner’s most memorable era, writing things like, “Oh we’re back big time!!!!”
But others blasted the “Kardashians” star for the artistic route she took for the visual.
“The country’s boiling over, citizens being dragged off by rogue badge hungry rent-a-cops, and Kylie Jenner drops a handcuffed hot-pants photoshoot to promote COSMETICS. This isn’t satire; it’s American rot,” wrote one furious Reddit user, referencing the ongoing ICE raids across the US.
Another critic replied, “lol as if she could ever comprehend what the people she cosplays as are going thru. this is insanely disgusting, and i didnt even think about how deeply out of touch this was til i read your title for this post. you’re so right.”
A third dissenter called the ad “actually gross.”
Someone else wondered whether Jenner was “trying to recreate the same controversy [her sister] Kendall [Jenner] went through with the tone-deaf Pespi ad???”
In the infamous commercial in question, Kendall, 29, quelled a confrontation at a protest by presenting a cop a can of soda.
Others pointed to the various nationwide “No Kings” protests against what demonstrators feel are the authoritarian policies of President Trump.
“To add to this, does anyone else find it odd that there have been ‘No Kings’ protests around the country, and she drops a shoot called ‘King Kylie’ with the associated imagery mentioned by OP [original poster]?” one observer wondered.
Reps for Kylie did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
