Kohberger may have come face-to-face with Idaho roommate before murders

Idaho murderer Bryan Kohberger may have come face-to-face with one of his victims’ roommates just three days prior to the heinous killings, according to a report.

Kohberger — who is serving multiple life sentences for slaying four University of Idaho students — was in the same Target within two hours of one of the victims’ surviving roommates, according to a post on X by Fox News’ Michael Ruiz.

A police report showed a receipt at the department store for “BF” at 4:09 p.m. on November 10, 2022 — three days before massacre — and roughly an hour-and-a-half before Kohberger checked out at 5:42 p.m., according to Ruiz’s post that included a screenshot of the report.

“BF” is an apparent reference to one of the two surviving roommates — Bethany Funke.

“It is unknown if F. and Kohberger were in Target at the same time,” the police report said.

Funke — who shared an off-campus house with five roommates in the small town of Moscow, Idaho — lived roughly 15 minutes from Kohberger’s small town of Pullman, Washington. It was unclear what town the Target was in.

Kohberger, 31, broke into the Moscow house in the middle of the night and fatally stabbed Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin.

Roommates Funke and Dylan Mortensen, who were in different rooms, were not hurt.

The Washington University graduate student took a surprise plea deal just weeks before his highly anticipated trial was set to begin. The deal meant Kohberger skirted the death penalty, enraging some of the families of his victims who were deprived of any explanation for the horrific slaughter that may have come out at trial.

Kohberger is serving four life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Since Kohberger began his life-long stint in prison, he’s made headlines for repeatedly complaining to staff about inmates harassing him and even grousing about the type of bananas he’s been given.
