Kenny Rodriguez’s Red Flags Are On Full Display In Latest ‘Love Island: Beyond The Villa’ Episode
JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez‘s recent breakup may have shocked the Love Island USA fanbase, but the latest episode of Love Island: Beyond the Villa shows that there was more trouble behind the scenes than fans may have thought.
In episode four, Rodriguez appears to be considerably reticent when it comes to taking his relationship with Craig to the next level. Not only is he uninterested in fostering a dog with her, but the episode also addresses Rodriguez’s decision not to live with her while filming Beyond the Villa in Los Angeles.

Rodriguez makes it very clear in this week’s episode that he wasn’t thrilled to be fostering a dog with Craig, noting that it was her idea. “On the list of things you wanted to do in L.A., fostering a dog, taking care of an animal was on that list,” he points out in a joint confessional with Craig. And while he tells Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi that he’s “excited to be a dad,” Rodriguez shuts down Craig’s idea of fostering anymore animals.
“JaNa jumped the gun when she said that,” he says in a confessional after Craig expressed her interest in fostering more pets during a conversation with their co-stars. “No, I’m pretty far removed when it comes to adopting animals.”
But Craig still seems hopeful that Rodriguez would come around on the idea of fostering. “I think Kenny is one of those people you got to push him a little bit when it comes to doing new things,” she says in a confessional after Rodriguez refused to hold their new dog when they first meet him. “Because if you can’t hold a dog, how can you hold a baby? And four of them? Weird.”
Later on in the episode, Craig also opened up to Kateb and Serena Page about how “humiliated” she felt after Rodriguez chose not to move in with her while staying in Los Angeles for two months.
“I found out that Kenny would rather live separate rather than together for the summer when I was grocery shopping. I was so confused and maybe, like, humiliated and embarrassed,” she says in a confessional. “I had dreams of what the summer would be of us living together.” But Craig defended Rodriguez in her conversation with Kateb and Page, claiming he had a “valid” reason.
And if that isn’t a glaring red flag, it was also revealed that Rodriguez may continue living across the country from Craig. She reveals he is currently leasing two apartments – one in New York and one in Dallas – and possibly plans on renewing his lease while she continues to live in Vegas.
While we know the couple ultimately broke up, the sneak preview of next week’s episode shows there’s more drama to come. “I hope you didn’t tell Miguel that we both wanted space because that’s not the case,” Craig tells him in the preview.
“I wanted separation from you,” Rodriguez responds.
What did Kenny from Love Island USA do?
There is a lot of speculation regarding the breakup. But Craig made it clear on social media that the split was not amicable.
“Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating.”
It remains unclear what led to the sudden breakup. But Kateb blasted Rodriguez on social media, saying he was “racist, clout/money hungry and a scammer since DAY 1!!!!”
