If that tease doesn’t leave you satisfied enough, “Aaron Burr, Sir” himself—Leslie Odom Jr., who originated the role of Aaron Burr in the hit Broadway show—will be a guest on this year’s spooky season special, titled “Live‘s Halloween Show: It’s Trending.”
The spooky special, which is comprised of both pre-recorded scenes and live components and features nearly 67 costumes, also lets fans in on the fun with Live‘s annual Halloween costume contest. Live has successfully parodied a slew of film and TV titles in its annual Halloween special over its decades-long run, and Season 38’s Halloween show is no exception. When DECIDER caught up with Live with Kelly and Mark EP Michael Gelman at the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame Gala earlier this fall, he kept mum on their plans for this year’s Halloween special, though he promised that they would be “hitting the top, top things in movies, television, pop culture.”
“But this year, we’re leaning into what’s happening online,” he explained. “So we have a lot of those viral trends that we’re going to have fun with, dress up as, and be a part of. And so I think you won’t be disappointed. Some great costumes.”
