“There’s always been a rule you can’t date the band members because what happens if we break up?” Baugh, now 25, said during a resurfaced interview with “Piper’s Picks TV” from 2017.
“I mean, they’re all cute, don’t get me wrong, but I mean that the drummer has been the longest in my band. Like, he’s basically my brother,” the musician added when pressed by host Piper Reese. “My bass player is basically my brother. Everyone in my band, I treat like my best friend.”
After the news of Kidman and Urban’s split broke, it was revealed that the Grammy winner changed a song lyric originally about Kidman to reference Baugh during a recent concert.
Insiders claimed the former couple had been separated “since the beginning of summer” and that Urban had already “moved out of their family home” and moved into his own place in Nashville.
Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split, per the divorce documents obtained by The Post, and listed their date of separation as “date of filing.”
Meanwhile, sources close to the pair suggested that Urban was already seeing another woman, although it was unclear if he moved on before or after leaving the Oscar winner.
“All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” an insider told TMZ. “Let’s just say Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”
“It’s all over Nashville,” another source claimed.
“I know Keith. I know his mannerisms,” a Nashville radio professional told Daily Mail. “Even if I didn’t know what I know, I’d be like, ‘There’s something going on here.’”
“The rumor is that it was an aspiring musician on the scene, a much-younger brunette, and she totally fits the bill,” they added of Baugh.
Another Nashville insider claimed that “the gossip all over town” was that Urban and his guitarist “have had a thing for a few months.”
“It’s like one big high school with rumors and innuendo, but also a lot of people know a lot of things,” they claimed. “It is 100 percent credible that they’d be together.”
Urban first invited Baugh, who made a name for herself as a rising country music star via TikTok, to perform alongside him and his band at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
She later accompanied Urban again for musical guest appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that same year.
Baugh went on to join the “Somebody Like You” singer’s band when he kicked off his current tour earlier this year.
Her father, Chuck Baugh, has since revealed whether he thinks his daughter and Urban are romantically linked amid the swirling rumors.
“I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he told Daily Mail last week.
Baugh’s dad, who revealed he met Urban during a concert in Las Vegas last year, added that he believes his daughter’s relationship with the “Be Here” artist is strictly professional.
“It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing,” he said, before admitting that he hasn’t “heard one way or the other.”
When Urban returned to the stage for his first concert since Kidman filed for divorce last week, Baugh was mysteriously absent from the performance.
As for the “Big Little Lies” star, she recently broke cover for the first time since her split with Urban was made public.
After presenting the Award of Inspiration to “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan at an amfAR auction in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday night, Kidman stepped out for the Chanel runway show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday.
She rocked new breakup bangs during the event, and was joined by her and Urban’s two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
