Keenan Allen to play in Chargers’ finale in search of bonuses

With a potential massive payday on the line, Keenan Allen said this week he will not be one of the Chargers veterans sitting out of the Bolts’ regular-season finale Sunday.

The 33-year-old wideout told ESPN on Thursday he will take the field against the Broncos as over $1 million in bonuses are up for grabs.

Due to incentives in his contract, Allen can take home $750,000 with six more catches.

Keenan Allen said this week he will play against the Broncos as he has over $1 million in bonuses on the line.

With nine more receiving yards, he can add $250K more.

And with two touchdowns, he can throw on an additional quarter of a million dollars.

Allen had some fun about the possibility of the cash with backup quarterback Trey Lance, who will be starting in place of Justin Herbert at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.

Keena Allen can get over $1 million if he records six catches for nine yards against Denver.

“Hey Trey we get this six we going out to eat bro,” Allen said to the Chargers signal-caller, according to ESPN.

“I need a new car,” Lance responded.

“S–t,” Allen fired back. “I might need to sit this one out.”

Allen has played in all 16 Chargers games this season, logging 74 catches for 741 yards and four touchdowns.

Totaling nine more receiving yards shouldn’t be an issue for Allen, as he’s topped that mark in every game so far.

The six catches, though, might be a little tougher, as he’s only reached that plateau three times.

If Allen goes completely off against Denver’s secondary, he can reach another $500,000 by securing 109 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Kickoff is slated for 4:25 p.m. ET, and while the Chargers are playing for nothing more than wild-card seeding, Allen’s clearly got far more at stake.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
