While reflecting on the harrowing incident, the reality star threw West, 48, under the bus.
“My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” Kardashian said through tears in a confessional. “That was a knife to my heart.”
“Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life, it just really bothered me,” she added. “You don’t know who I am.”
Kardashian also called out Howard Stern for questioning the validity of the robbery.
“Howard Stern was famously mocking it all the time and saying I’m sick and it was just a joke and I made it all up,” she said while crying. “I remember he was so defiant about it. I was like, how could you be so certain? People trust you. That always stuck with me, also.”
The SKIMS founder was married to West at the time of the robbery. The rapper was performing in New York City when he learned about the heist. He stopped his performance and told the audience he had to leave due to a “family emergency.”
Kardashian filed for divorce from West over four years later.
During the episode, Kardashian expressed relief about getting to testify.
“To finally be able to go to trial and face these people and hear their accounts and apologies, I’m like, see, guys. It was real,” she said.
“I’m happy it’s over,” Kardashian tearfully added.
On Oct. 2, 2016, a group of 10 now-elderly crooks held Kardashian at gunpoint in her hotel room and allegedly stole $10 million in jewelry — including her diamond engagement ring from West — during Paris Fashion Week.
She participated in a nearly six-hour testimony in a Paris court in May.
“This was less than 10 minutes of my life. I’ve lived an amazing life,” Kim said in a confessional about testifying. “That’s always given me a little bit of peace, just to know — what was it? 8, 9 minutes? — of pure terror and panic aren’t going to ruin me.”
Eight of the ten robbers put on trial were found guilty. Another defendant was found guilty of a gun charge but not of involvement in the robbery, and one was cleared completely.
