Former Vice President Kamala Harris will be appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert tonight (July 31) for her first on-air interview since the 2024 presidential election.

Harris will be promoting her newly announced book 107 Days, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at her campaign. Harris said in a statement that her 107-day run for the presidency marks the “shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”

This will mark her first time returning to Stephen Colbert‘s show since she made her late night debut in October 2024. While sharing a beer with Colbert during the appearance, Harris criticized Trump’s friendships with Vladimir Putin and called Trump a “loser.”

When Colbert asked if Trump lost the 2020 election, Harris replied, “You know, when you’ve lost, you lost millions of jobs, you lost manufacturing, you lost automotive plants, you lost the election. What does that make you? A loser.”

The former VP’s appearance is a particularly interesting move considering The Late Show‘s network CBS just settled a $16 million lawsuit with President Trump after he claimed 60 Minutes deceptively edited its interview with Harris to “tip the scales in favor of the Democratic party” during the 2024 election.

Colbert blasted the settlement on The Late Show, calling it a “big fat bribe” as CBS’ parent company, Paramount, will need approval from the Federal Communications Commission to approve its merger with Skydance.

The Late Show was canceled just days after Colbert’s statements, prompting speculation over whether President Trump had a hand in it. Trump denied that he was “solely responsible” but he did take a moment to gloat over it, adding that “Jimmy Kimmel is next.”

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs on CBS Thursdays at 11:35 p.m. ET.

New episodes of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert are also available to stream on Paramount+.
