Designer Daniel Roseberry sent the look down Schiaparelli’s Spring 2024 Haute Couture runway in a collection that explored the tension between society’s full-tilt embrace of artificial intelligence and the nostalgia for Y2K-era artifacts like flip phones and digital cameras.

Of the pre-2007 tech adorning the dress, he told reporters, “Now, the technology I grew up with is so antiquated that it’s almost as difficult to source as certain vintage fabrics and embellishments.”

Turner-Smith paired the futuristic frock with the same glitzy choker the label featured on the runway, along with Tiffany HardWare Large Link earrings ($1,925) and transparent skyscraper pumps.

The “Queen & Slim” star was styled by Law Roach, who posted the look on Instagram with the caption, “Oh it’s Couture….”

“MOTHER WEARING MOTHERBOARD STYLED BY MOTHER !” one commenter wrote.

Paris-based designer Jude Macasinag posted a photo of Turner-Smith out on the town on X later the same night, writing, “Just spotted the Schiaparelli Haute Couture S/S 2024 motherboard dress at a bar in the wild tonight.”

The social media snap showed off the back of the dress, adorned with a digital point-and-shoot camera, trailing cords, and a CD in place of a back pocket.
